Fenney Kwan, MD

Dr. Fenney Kwan joined Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology in September 2008. A native New Yorker, she went to Stuyvesant High School before she attended MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Kwan has always been interested in women’s health and offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. She provides well women exams, contraception, management of abnormal Pap smears, fibroids, ovarian masses and abnormal uterine bleeding. Her areas of interest and expertise include hysteroscopy and laparoscopy for minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Kwan moved to the Virginia Beach area to be with her husband who is a physician at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. They really enjoy having the beach so easily accessible and you may find them bogey boarding on the weekends. In their free time, they love to travel to exotic places, and enjoy indoor rock-climbing, tennis, and bowling.

Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology has been serving the healthcare needs of Virginia Beach women for over 40 years. Originally Redford, Sarrett, and Martin, P.C. was formed in 1968 when the practices of Drs. Ramon Redford, David Sarrett, and William Martin joined to provide their combined obstetric and gynecologic services to the women of Hampton Roads.

The faces of the practice physicians have changed over the years, as well as our name, but throughout that time the practice has remained dedicated to one mission.
